Investigation of the Mediating Role of Hope and Self-Respect in the Relationship between Life Satisfaction and Emotional Intelligence among University Students

A satisfactory degree of life satisfaction is great importance in developing an optimistic perception about the events and problems encountered throughout life, being satisfied with leading a peaceful life. Important predictors include self-respect, emotional intelligence, hope. In this context, study was primarily conducted to examine mediating role played by hope self-respect correlation between intelligence undergraduate students. Also, we aimed variables satisfaction, hope, self-respect. quantitative study, correlational analysis causal-comparative research were used. The sample included 819 university "Original Form Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale 33-TR," "Life Satisfaction Scale," "State Hope "Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale" utilized as data collection tools. Data involved Pearson’s path analysis. Analyses showed significant relationships intelligence. direct indirect effects found that variables. Finally, it concluded mediated significantly findings interpreted discussed light relevant literature.
